But we love it!

On Wednesday, April 7th, Sunny’s temperature dropped, indicating that labor was imminent. Human mom, Christy, took the day off and watched Sunny labor. At 3:50pm on Thursday, our first baby appeared. A healthy little girl! Sunny’s instincts kicked in and she cleaned her up immediately.

She was dried off and put in a warming box, because Sunny’s labor continued rapidly. We’ll call her “Bunny.”

By 5:15, Sunny had delivered 5 babies. She then took a much needed break and started again at 6:40.

While she delivered her puppies, the newborns waited patiently in a warming box for mom to finish so they could eat.

The total delivery time took 6 hours. Sunny did great and had no complications.

After all of that hard work, Sunny and her 10 healthy babies enjoyed a night of bonding and sleeping. Happy Birthday little ones! ”Bunny”
